I just had my carpets cleaned the other day and now those stains are back, why?
This is because of a process called “Dry Wicking”. Carpets dry from the inside outwards, when you notice that a stain has returned after cleaning, it is usually a liquid stain that has been pulled up from the pad underneath the carpet and resurfaced.
Am I going to be charged again to have you fix the stain that came back?
No, we will take care of this free of charge, in most cases one more cleaning will eliminate the stain completely.
Will the indents left in my carpets from furniture go away after cleaning?
Depending on the age and quality of your carpets, these indents should “relax” with steam cleaning.
How long will it take for my carpets to be dry?
Usually, your carpets will be dry enough to walk on within 4-6 hours after cleaning, keep in mind that your carpets will feel damp immediately after cleaning.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
We recommend that you have your carpets steam cleaned every 12-18 months.
Can you ScotchGuard my carpets?
Absolutely! We recommend that you include Scotch Guard with every cleaning for two reasons; to extend the life of your carpets and to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty.
Is my home cleaner with carpets?
Carpets are designed to act like a filter, pulling dust and debris down through the carpeting and into the underlaying pad. Without carpeting in your home, allergens remain on the surface of your floor and are disturbed by traffic and airflow.
My carpets are heavily stained, should I just replace them?
In most cases, we can return your carpets to nearly new condition for much less than the cost of replacement. In some cases, simply replacing the underlay will also extend the life of your carpets, however your carpet should last up to 15 years or even longer with proper care and cleaning.
Can you remove biological stains (like blood or urine) from my carpets?
In most cases, yes we can remove these stains from your carpets. Some more difficult or older stains may require a second cleaning to eliminate them completely.
Are there really any benefits to having my ducts cleaned?
Absolutely! Depending on your lifestyle (do you have pets? Children? etc) we recommend that you have your ducts cleaned every 24-36 months. if your ducts are dirty, the air in your home is dirty as well.

I have recently renovated my home. Should I have my ducts cleaned?
Yes. When you renovate inside your home, drywall dust, sawdust and particles are often inadvertently swept into your ductwork, without a proper duct cleaning, you will probably notice that your home is dusty for months after renovating even with diligent dusting and cleaning.
I received a call from an outside company offering to clean the ducts in my home for much less than you have quoted me; I think I will just go with them for my duct cleaning.
The saying “if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is” has never been more accurate. More often than not, the calls generated by these outside companies are telemarketing scams aimed to fool people out of their hard earned money. Pro-One would never use telemarketing to generate customers or pressure our clients into services they may not require and we are always here to answer any questions you may have in regards to our services honestly and with our client's best interests in mind.
How much will it cost me to have my ductwork cleaned?
Depending on the size of your home and the number of vents should cost approximately $300-$350.
The other companies use a truck for duct cleaning, wouldn’t they be able to clean more effectively that your portable system?
In a word, no. The truck mounted systems may generate more pressure at the source, but the equipment is much farther away from your furnace, and as air pressure travels through lines, it decreases. We set up our equipment directly beside your furnace, enabling us to maintain a higher level of air pressure and suction.
Tile and Grout
My once white grout looks grey and dingy, and no matter how much I clean my floors it never looks white again, can anything be done to restore them?
Yes! We can make your tile & grout look brand new and in most cases restore the original colour of your grout.
How long will it take to get my floors looking new again?
Tile & Grout cleaning is a 2 step process, we will book 2 consecutive appointments to properly and completely clean your tile floors.
Can I walk on my floors immediately after cleaning?
Yes you can walk on them however your tile floors will be damp, creating a potentially slippery surface, so be cautious.
Should I have my tile floors waxed?
We would advise against waxing your floors. Wax creates a seal that is meant to be permanent and once a tile floor has been waxed, it is very difficult and in some cases almost impossible to remove the wax coating or even properly clean them. Tile flooring is meant to “breathe” and can eventually turn a dingy yellowish colour if a wax coat is applied to them.
The other company’s quote was lower than yours, are your prices negotiable?
If you have been provided with a written quote from another local company for your cleaning services, simply show us the quote and we are more than happy to match the quoted price.
I live outside of the Quinte region. Do you charge extra for out-of-town services?
Like most companies, we do charge a fuel surcharge to travel outside the Quinte area. We have many clients in both the Limestone and Northumberland regions so when we receive a call for out of town clients, we will co ordinate to enable as many calls as possible in the same region and keep travel surcharges lower for you.
All I am really looking for is a quoted price. Will I be charged for this?
Estimates are always free of charge! In most cases, we are able to provide quotes over the phone.
Can I leave my home while you are working inside?
Absolutely! We prefer if you are home initially so that we can properly perform a “walk through” of your home with you and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. If you are unable to be at home while we are there due to scheduling conflicts, there is no need to worry, we are true professionals and treat every client’s home with the same respect as we treat our own. Before we finish our work, we will contact you to advise you of completion and finalize the invoice.
